Titanium Dioxide and Pigments

Pigment is a chemical preparation that uses colorants compressed into powder and mixed into solutions such as paint, soil, plastic… to create color for the product. Pigments are divided into two types: inorganic pigments and organic pigments.

• Inorganic pigments: are derived from nature or artificially synthesized, is mainly used in the plastic industry because it has the characteristics of light fastness, high temperature resistance, weather resistance, solvent resistance…, well dispersed in water and inorganic compounds: TiO2, Iron oxides (black, yellow and red)…
• Organic pigments: are usually pigments of artificial synthetic origin, the common feature of this color group is that it has bright colors and very good color intensity.
